Who

You.  A volunteer, or as we like to call them Miracle Makers, can be anyone who renders aid, performs a service, or assumes an obligation voluntarily.  Miracle Makers come from all walks of life but share a common goal to make the Jackson community a better place.  While this can be an individual act, it can also be done as a group effort.  Many groups choose to volunteer as a way to bring their members closer together through performing acts of kindness for others.

Families receive great benefits from parents teaching their children to volunteer.  It’s a way for the child to visually learn from the parent how to make their community a better place by preserving a caring environment for future generations to live and grow.

“Tennessee ranks number twelve out of the top twenty states for volunteering informally by doing favors for and helping out our neighbors.”  (national service.gov.vcla)
